 So, what is so different about this classified site? Simply put - it is exclusively for the Arts Community. This is a site to swagger, to let people know what you do , who you are, what you need, and what you have that other Arts Folks need. Other sites on the web are an ‘Everything’ classified ad site, with the emphasis mostly on high-ticket items such as vehicles and real estate. Of course you can list vehicles and real estate on this site if you believe it to be marketable to those in the Arts Community.

It is our belief that in hard times the Arts become increasingly important, and that is proved out historically to be true. Perhaps during difficult times we tend to look inward and become more self-reflective, so the new band playing down the street, a new play opening in town, or a gallery show, a new film, or a book of new poetry, suddenly peaks your interest. We hope that Swaggerclassifieds.com will be a wonderful recourse for a growing worldwide Arts community.

When Dave Dodds and I decided to start Songswagger.com, our sister web site, we wanted to create a niche that we didn’t see on the web. Starting with a music community site and supported by other sites that would be available for the Arts Community. Swaggerclassifieds is the first in that planned purpose. What is important for you all to know is that Dave is a songwriter and a graphic artist – I am a poet, songwriter, artist, and writer - please forgive any typos or grammatical problems in this article ;). It is our hope that we can understand and respond to our users in a way that isn’t available anywhere else on the web.

We have endeavored to pick the categories we think hit all areas of need – if you want a category let us know. We also hope that you will take the time to ‘Promote Yourself’ and your craft - let people know that we are here.

We think you will find the site easy to use. We have test-driven and tweaked the functions and feel confident that you will find the easy ‘step by step’ process stress-less. In the next few months we will be adding new features, to give more tools to our listers, sellers, and buyers. The software typical to classified sites are, we believe, wonderful, but somewhat incomplete for the specialized needs of Artistic Folk. As you use the site, should you feel there are things we can do to improve the workability of the site, please let us know and we will do our best to find a way to add those features.In hopes that your visit here turns into a habit and you find it valuable, lucrative, and beneficial, please take the time to post an ad, or a "swagger", ‘I’m an artist and I’m here’ post.
